This week’s race to the Top 5 in the NFT world could be likened to a marathon steeple chase. A race that requires true endurance and the ability to overcome the particular obstacles on the track as well as the length of the contest. The NFT collection of digital art breaking through the ribbon in 1st place is the Bored Ape Yacht Club(BAYC) collection. Once again BAYC has shown strength and perseverance with a collection of digital art to be prized. The lowest-priced piece in this collection is #2789

BAYC #2789 is for sale this very moment, at ETH 86.4737 ($95,110.69)

The collection has 10,000 items dispersed through a network of about 6,200 owners. The floor price for this collection, the lowest price where a collectible from this collection can be bought is ETH 86.474($95350.99) rounded up 1 place. That particular and magnificent rendering of digital art is being displayed before your very eyes posted above. This week the collection managed to accomplish a monstrous level of trading volume, ETH 1,537.35($1,695,166.66).

The Otherdeed for Otherside collection comes in a close 2nd. This astounding collection of digital art garnered a sales volume totaling ETH 1,005.32 ($1,105,223.68). The collection contains 10,000 unique works of digital art, disbursed between a group of owners numbering about 4600. You can marvel at one prestigious piece from their collection posted below, Otherdeed for Otherside #90682.

The NFT marketplace, saw a lot of price fluctuations this week. Some of the most adored pieces lost more than 40% of their value. Even though many of those pieces didn’t trade, it was interesting to witness owners lowering their offering prices to be in line with market conditions. NFTs have overcome some major hurdles the last few months. North Korean hackers stole over half a million dollars from an NFT gaming company. NFTs are used to buy things and also act as entry passes to popular video games. Another theft occurred in April from the Bored Ape Yacht Club’s Instagram account. All in all, the hackers made off with 2.8 million dollars worth of Bored Ape Yacht Club’s NFTs. During the last few weeks, the NFT trading volume has diminished substantially as well.

A report from Chain Analysis found overall trading volume dropped from $3.9 billion the week of Feb. 13 to $964 million the week of March 13, with increased activity coinciding with the Bored Ape Yacht Club’s project to sell land in the metaverse, this project alone generated $320 million in sales a little more than two weeks ago.

Coming in 4th place is the collection that promises to capture your artistic eye with its flair for style and pizazz, Crypto Punks. Crypto Punks has returned to the ranks of the Top 5 in the NFT universe. Crypto Punks recorded a sales volume this week of ETH 651.94 ($711,964.12). This collection does not have a floor price, the best bid and a seller’s willingness to part with his property at the bid price is all that matters. I found Crypto Punk#4587 to be the exquisite definition of the digital art form.

CryptoPunk #4587 initially traded for ETH 70 ($76,601.70) then re-traded at ETH 77.5 ($84,809.03). If you’re interested in this piece from the CryptoPunks collection. your bid needs to be persuasive. 9,999 pieces of unique digital treasure belong to this collection, shared amongst 3,493 owners.

Taking 5th place this week is Lacoste UNDW3 Official. It all starts with the crocodile. Lacoste has truly defined the word unique. Their collection of NFTs come in somewhat of a GIF format. The crocodile moves and your croc can have his own individual moves, unlike any other crocodile in the collection. Truly groundbreaking in their approach to the NFT marketplace. I’ll give you a glimpse of what Lacoste has going on, but you’ll really want to see the artistry in motion if you click on the link above.

This adorable creature UNDW3 was minted 2 days ago. and is being offered at the price of ETH 0.38 ($416.31). The collection recorded a sales volume of ETH 580.42 ($636,314.45). The floor price to gain entry to the Lacoste digital arena is currently ETH 0.38. There are 11,212 unique crocodiles that belong to this gallery, shared among 8,015 individual owners.
